Butler Connect AI LLC ("Butler Connect AI", "we", "us") builds websites and customer follow-up systems for local businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It applies to butlerconnectai.com and to the services we provide to our clients.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill in a form on this site, ring us, or email us, we collect what you provide — typically your name, business name, phone number, email address, your trade, and anything you write in a message field. If you become a client, we also collect the business information you supply during onboarding so we can build your website.

Information about businesses we contact

We identify businesses that may benefit from our services using publicly available business listings, primarily the Google Places API. This is business contact information — company name, business phone number, business address, category and public rating — not personal information about private individuals. If you are a business owner and would prefer we did not hold your business listing, email us and we will delete it.

Information collected automatically

Our website is deliberately lightweight. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or cross-site cookies on this site. Our hosting provider records standard server request logs, which may include IP address, browser type and the page requested.

2. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

3. SMS and text messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who support the messaging service itself — for example our messaging platform provider — is limited to what is needed to deliver the message, and those parties are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.

How you opt in

We only send SMS messages to people who have asked for them. There are three ways that happens, and all three are a deliberate action you take:

Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us. You can work with us entirely by phone and email if you prefer.

What we send

Messages relate to your enquiry, your mock-up, your account, or a job in progress. Message frequency varies depending on the conversation. Message and data rates may apply — those are charged by your mobile carrier, not by us.

How you stop

Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we need in order to run the business, and only to the extent required. These currently include our customer messaging and CRM platform, our website hosting provider, our database provider, and our payment processor. Each processes information on our instructions.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with anyone for their own marketing.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client information is kept for the life of the engagement and then for as long as our legal and tax obligations require. You can ask us to delete information sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, and out of email by replying and telling us. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law, including in Colorado. Email us and we will handle it — we are a small company and there is no process to navigate.

7. Security

We use reputable providers, restrict access to information to those who need it, and do not keep payment card details ourselves — those are handled by our payment processor. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects you.

8. Information belonging to our clients' customers

When we run websites and follow-up systems for a client, that client's customers may give information through forms or messages. That information belongs to our client. We process it on their behalf, we do not use it for our own marketing, and we do not share it with other clients. If you are a customer of one of our clients and want your information removed, contact that business directly, or contact us and we will pass it on.

9. Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated directly where we can.
